Sony has done it again! There’s word on the street that Sony has specifically designed two headsets, the models DR-GA500 and DR-GA200, both with 40mm drive units which is perfect for gaming. DR-GA500 even features 7.1 digital surround which grants the wearer the ability to detect sound effects from all directions. This amazing auditory element is impeccable for first person shooter games. DR-GA200 is the lower-end model but they both exhibit unrivaled ‘triple enfolding’ design for comfort over extensive intervals of exposure. More »

Nowadays, there seems to be a plethora of choices when it comes to Sony’s PS3 . Along with the recently leaked 160 GB version, you also have the option of getting the old 120 GB version with the option of a free game or…Sony’s newest development. The company recently announced at GamesCom’svideo game trade show that they would be releasing yet another bundle: the Motion Control Bundle . How does $400 for a Playstation Move camera, motion control wand, and a Sports Champion (…sounds extremely like a certain game that came with the Wii), along with the recently beefed up console sound? It seems as though the days of the 120 GB Playstation 3 might soon be mere memories, as the newly improved and fattened 160 GB version made a surprise debut today on GameStop’s website without an official announcement from Sony! The console was offered as a standalone purchase, thankfully retaining its 120 GB predecessor’s price of $299, or in an Accessory or God of War III bundle. Unfortunately, it looks like the impromptu listings came a little too soon, as they are now no longer available for purchase on GameStop.com. Oops, talk about spoiling the surprise. More »

From Ziggytek: I have outlined my reasons for believing that both/either the Xbox 360 Kinect and/or Playstation Move are/is going to fail epically, yet some of the same arguments for failure can (paradoxically) be used to suggest that one or both will succeed. More »

From Ziggytek: Four years after Nintendo’s Wii, which was laughed at by its competitors but has sold over 70 million consoles, Sony and Microsoft are hopping aboard the motion control bandwagon. Come this autumn, the Playstation Move and Xbox 360 Kinect will fail and prove that the Wii is lightning in a bottle, never to be caught again. More »
Was the 300 hours you pumped into Monster Hunter Freedom Unite not enough for you? If you answered no, I think you need to take a step back, give your self a good hard look in the mirror and step away from your handheld. But if you answered yes and still have the burning urge to hack and slash your way into oblivion then look no further than Squar-Enix’s upcoming Monster Hunter knock off Lord of Arcana. More »
Remember playing Time Crisis at your local arcade when you were young? No, well I don’t either and that’s because arcades were pretty much extinct by the time I became interested in gaming. But whenever I did get a chance to hit an arcade, down the shore or the occasional visit to Dave & Busters, Time Crisis was always a must play. Now, thanks to Namco and Playstation Move we never even have to leave our couch to play this classic shoot ‘em up franchise. More »
