From Ziggytek: NPD reports that for the first time in several years, Microsoft’s Xbox 360 has earned first place in the monthly gaming console sales rankings. The 360 moved 422,000 units. From Ziggytek: OnLive has been in the works for 8 years and will be launching in the States on the 17th of June. The service provides on-demand streaming of games for PC, Mac, and TV. Costing $14.95 for a monthly subscription and additional charges for game rentals and purchases, OnLive will have big titles such as Borderlands, Assassin’s Creed, Prince of Persia, and Mass Effect 2. Square-Enix is reporting that 5 million copies of Final Fantasy XIII have been shipped around the world. 2 million were dedicated to Japan, while the remaining 3 million were shipped to other countries around the world. Square went even further with their bragging by announcing that over 96 million copies of the Final Fantasy franchise have been shipped around the globe. More »

Rock Band Network has officially launched on the Xbox 360. The first wave of content brings 105 new songs from a wide range of artists, including Flogging Molly, KMFMDM, The Hold Steady, and Stroke 9.
